From Russian Anzacs in Australian History:

 In April 1918 staff at the Australian General Hospital in Melbourne became suspicious of Emil Hofdahl, a Finnish seaman and engineer who was serving as a hospital orderly there: ‘The impression there is that he is a German … When Petrograd fell he expressed himself as being glad’ — even though he had a Swedish surname and spoke no German, that was enough to discharge him.
