From Russian Anzacs in Australian History:
Alexander Oders, who had already served on the Western Front with the 1st AIF, was one of the first to enlist in this new war [Second World War]. He had married in England and was now living in Western Australia with his large family, three of whom, his two eldest sons and one daughter, soon followed him into the armed forces. His son Robert Alexander was a prisoner-of-war for three years in Malaya and Thailand.
